Can you believe the holiday season is already upon us? If you stick around Lake Martin year-round, you’re in for a treat! The holiday season is a great chance to get out and meet your neighbors at one of the upcoming events in the area. Whether celebrating Thanksgiving, Christmas or both, you’ve got options! As your Lake Martin real estate team, allow us to fill you in.

Naturalist Turkey Talks – Head to the Naturalist Cabin at Russell Crossroads on Nov. 17 or Nov. 23 for Let’s Talk Turkey! There will be a live turkey there as you learn about the interesting features on a turkey, turkey calls and more. It’s free and appropriate for all ages.

Guided Nature Tour – Willow Point Trailhead – This guided walk takes place Nov. 17 from 12 to 5 p.m. This is a great time of year to get out and enjoy the fresh fall air! Notice the changes of the season as plants and animals are pointed out to you. Registration is required, cost is $10 for anyone over the age of 10. This walk is suggested for anyone over the age of 5. Dress comfortably!

Thanksgiving Family-Style Supper – This takes place Nov. 21 at SpringHouse from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Doors open for cocktails and mingling at 6, then food is served at 6:30. There will be wines exclusively chosen for this dinner, along with a seasonal cocktail option. Cost is $50 per person, not including alcohol, and $15 for children under 12. Enjoy some of your Thanksgiving favorites!

Christmas at Crossroads with Holiday Bazaar – The day after Thanksgiving, instead of struggling with shoppers in busy stores, head to Russell Crossroads! On Nov. 23, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., enjoy a free day of family fun to get you in the holiday spirit. This includes the Jolly Elf, Santa arriving by carriage at 11 a.m., and a Holiday Bazaar on the Town Green, great for finding gifts. Kids can meet with Santa, make arts and crafts, play games and more.

Eclectic Christmas – This takes place at The Falk Farm each year, with outdoor walking tours scheduled Nov. 30 through Dec. 9 this year. Reservations are open and are highly encouraged! Walks-throughs take place every 15 minutes. Admission is free, but donations are accepted. Watch as a live drama unfolds during your walking tour, set during the Roman Empire, as you witness the story of Christ’s birth.

Dadeville’s 5th Annual Spirit of a Hometown Christmas Parade – This takes place Sunday, Dec. 9, from 12 to 5 p.m. Shop among local vendors, starting at 12 p.m. Pictures with Santa begin at 1 p.m., train rides and inflatables for kids begin at 12 p.m., and the parade begins at 3 p.m.!
