Lake Martin Activities

Labor Day weekend, the unofficial end to summer, is coming up quickly! Our Lake Martin real estate team is here to help you plan, so you make the most of the holiday weekend at Lake Martin. Whether you plan to spend your time on the water, at a nearby event, or both, you’ve got options!

1.  Start Labor Day weekend off early at the Kinsella and Rivers-Marie Wine Dinner at SpringHouse on Aug. 30. This will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. and costs $150. The dinner will feature Kinsella’s renowned Cabernet Sauvignon, along with a Rivers-Marie Summa Vineyard Pinot Noir and a Sonoma Coast Chardonnay. The four or five-course prix fixe dinner will also include hors d’oeuvres, and all of the food is made to beautifully pair with the wines. It sounds like an amazing evening!

2.  The long-awaited Labor Day Weekend Concert will finally arrive at the AMP on Lake Martin, one of the best events to take place there each year! This year’s featured performer is Sister Hazel. This performance will take place Sunday, Sept. 2. Tickets cost only $20, so it’s a great family-friendly activity for everyone to enjoy! Doors open at 5 p.m., The Bank Walkers will begin playing at 7 p.m., and Sister Hazel will take the stage at 8:30 p.m. Potz and Panz Gourmet Cooking will provide some delicious food for sale, such as smoked ribs and chicken, chili cheese nachos and more. Bring your lawn chairs or blankets and coolers, and enjoy a night out on a holiday weekend!

3.  Russell Crossroads always has a plethora of activities taking place on the weekends, and Labor Day weekend is no exception! You can catch The Bank Walkers perform on Aug. 31 for Friday On The Green, or partake in Yoga on the Green on Sept. 1. These events take place every weekend, so check out the schedule to see who is performing each Friday. You can also catch nature walks and presentations, which are great for the whole family!

4.  Spend a day or the whole holiday weekend at Lake Martin! It’s a busy weekend for lake fun, which is no surprise, as out-of-towners want to get in one last weekend at the lake before they conclude their summer season here. Head out for some boating, swimming, water sports, tanning and socializing at the lake, or head to a nearby trail for walking or biking, a local golf course, or an equestrian trail! The choice is yours, but it’s a great weekend for doing what you love outdoors.
